Peace Lagoon Vol.2 - Singh Kaur

Since the 1970's, Singh Kaur spent many years singing and performing with The Khalsa String Band. Peace Lagoon was her debut solo album recorded in a trailer during the summer of 1979 in Espanola, NM near Women's Training Camp.

Peace Lagoon is the name of a Sikh prayer (Sukhmani Sahib). This prayer was translated into English and published, along with other translated Sikh scripture, in a book entitled Peace Lagoon. Sukhmani Sahib is one of the most popular and oft-recited prayers among the Sikhs, and it is believed that the recitation of it, in English, will bring peace to anyone.

The classic recording by Singh Kaur has been re-released, and newly remastered. This is Volume II of Singh Kaur's Peace Lagoon recordings. It completes the Beauty and Light of the first album, and once again touches the listner with its deeply expressed Love and Devotion and Singh Kaur's unique angelic voice, accompanyied by her Guitar and gentle instrumental settings.
